That’s ok this is how it is for everyone.

She loves the lockdown of a snowstorm. The mandated stay at home, forcing us into submission, to wait, all shoulds left shivering at the door. Quietly shaking up our world, it causes a ripple across the sameness of the everyday.  

Of course, this utopia is only possible with blinkers firmly in place. Realising that only a few hours away, life goes on as usual for millions of people puts a slight kabache on that feeling of togetherness.  But it was not an enjoyable thought, and she dismissed it, snuggling into the cosiness of duvets and movies as the great white blanket began to fall across the world.

Four days later, her kids are still home from school, and her body aches from shovelling snow as tall as a five-year-old.  Today might be Thursday, then again, maybe Sunday, it all feels the same, but that is ok because this is how it is for everyone.
