Don’t disturb him at work.

Flowers and Feelings

She was driving the kids to school when her mum face-timed her. The car is set up so that if someone calling through is using video facetime it will automatically change to audio facetime, a safety feature she assumes. This happens a lot with her mum, but each time she is confused as to why this is so! Today was no different. As they drove along, singing to music, her mum facetimed and wondered why she couldn’t see them all before asking what time it was with them. Traveling overseas her mum wasn’t sure of the exact time difference between them. She didn’t know if she was calling her in a busy work day but called anyway. A few calculations later it was confirmed she was 12 hours ahead of them. Mum was just off to dinner while they were just off to school. The timing, by chance, was perfect. She wasn’t working yet, the kids were there, it was lovely to catch up and hear about her trip. Knowing now what the time was her mum wondered aloud about calling her son also, she hadn’t spoken to him since being away. Then she stopped herself. No of course she couldn’t call him, she didn’t want to disturb him at work.
